-traveling light-
was just reading this book
"traveling light" by Max Lucado
and it's really nice.
like how quek cant stop tearing after reading the first chapter
it happened to me too
it was like as if the book is speaking to me, about me.
traveling light means trusting God with the burdens you were never intended to bearGod has a great race for you to run, under His care you will go where you've never been and serve in ways you've never dreamed.
BUT you have to drop some stuff.
how can you share grace if you are full of guilt ?
how can you offer comfort if you are disheartened?
how can you lift someone else's load if your arms are full with your own?
ever been to an airport? look around when you're collecting your luggage
what does a dad says when he sees his five year old trying to drag the big bag off the carousel?
"
set it down, child. let Me carry it for you"
this is exactly what God is saying to us as well.
set down our burdens; the sack of discontent, that backpack of doubt, a trunk of fear, an overnight bag of loneliness, a hanging bag of grief, the duffel bag of weariness.
what do you say we take God up on His offer? we might just find ourselves traveling a little lighter (:1 Peter 5 v 7 (JB)"Unload all your worries onto Him, since He is looking after you"be blessed ! (:
